Here are 10 gowns to prove that the Golden Globes’ 500 shades of black paid off really well!
The red carpet is as much as a deal as the show that follows it. And usually, the red carpet is a frothy show of fashion, trends and some ridiculous style. However, the red carpet at the 75th Golden Globes was more a show of power than style. And while about half of the men traded in their white shirts for black ones, to team their tuxedos with, the women were the ones who made a statement. Showing solidarity with the Time’s Up movement, the red carpet of the award function was almost an airtight blackout! However, it was one hell of a dazzling blackout. From feather trimmings to tulle and more, designers ensured that the celebrity turnout on the carpet was elegant rather than ‘depressing’ (as it was initially feared to be). The unspoken conundrum of this red carpet was rather glitzy and it’s even safe to say that ‘sexy’ was handled safely too. All in all, the turnout was a glamorous one, much like we expected it to be.
