While the Cannes Film Festival may be on the of the most prestigious events, but Sonam Kapoor’s chic red carpet and off red carpet appearances are the most sought after in our home country. When it comes to dressing up for an important appearance, the uncrowned fashion goddess rarely has an off fashion movement. This year at Cannes was no different. With a minimal, sophisticated travel look, a timeless red Valentino, a no-fail look by her red carpet favourites (Ralph & Russo) and just a hint of Indian as Sonam represented India on an international platform; Sonam’s 2019 Cannes looks had it all. Let’s have a look at all her Cannes looks this year.

For another bout of travel, Sonam changed into a more comfortable, breezy set of clothes. Head to toe, in Bouguessa, the stylish actor chose a double breasted poncho, a long jacket and relaxed trousers from the line. The actress finished off her look in comfortable flats, big sunglasses and ditsy Louis Vuitton handbag.

For her red carpet appearance, Sonam yet again chose her trusty designer duo, Rallph & Russo. In unique interpretation of a tuxedo, the pristine white couture number was cinched at the waist, that had a long, matching trail attached to it. As if the emeblishments weren’t enough, Sonam paired an emerald Chopard necklace, Jimmy Choo’s for the look. She finished off the look with classic smokey eyes and a neat bun!

Sonam gave us some serious Belle (from Beauty and the Beast) vibes as she dressed into a mustard Ashi studio ball gown. The knee-length gown featured a gorgeous pleated off shoulder sleeve that travelled lower at the rear, showing off the actress’s back. For the look, Sonam’s hair were tied. She picked a pinkish-red lip colour and modest yellow sapphire Chopard earrings.

Nobody aces travel-style like Sonam Kapoor does. The actress picked up a pair of relaxed trousers and a striped, belted-boyfriend blazer from the designer Roksanda. With kitten heels and her trusty Birkin bag, Sonam was high on style and on comfort.

For her first public appearance at Cannes, Sonam chose a refreshingly minimal look. In a red ruffled Valentino number, Sonam’s look found the right balance between striking and graceful. With a translucent multi layered cape overcoat on a basic red strapless gown, the solid coloured gown wasn’t all minimal. With soft curls tied into a loose braid (adorned with exotic flowers) and subtle nude toned makeup, Sonam’s look was epitome of summertime fresh.

Sonam landed on to her red carpet favourites, Ralph & Russo for her next appearance at Cannes. The midnight blue number may have appeared rather simple- but with a cape fashioned like an exaggerated bow-tie, a twirl-worthy skirt and a texturised torso, Sonam’s chic formal look an elevated kind of basic.

Sonam embraced some much-missed opulence in a true blue ( read: gold) Abu Jaani and Sandeep Khosla ensemble. The beautiful ivory-gold number, came with a sensual sweet heart neck, an exaggerated one shoulder, matching cuffs and neck piece and a dupatta fashioned like a pallu and added on that coveted long train!
