The Cannes Film Festival is easily one of the most anticipated events in the fashion world (yes, despite it being a film festival). And this year, other than spotting some fiercely glamorous red carpet looks, we also came upon a go-to our actresses were opting for this time around. We’re talking about sexy, sultry and very trendy pantsuits, a look we thought the women wore better than the men at the film festival. Here’s a lowdown on how the actresses swapped their sweeping trails for pantsuits at Cannes 2018.

Nothing quite screams, ‘#GirlBoss’ quite like Aishwarya’s black pantsuit. For an event whilst she was at the film festival, she chose to work a chic and sharp Giorgio Armani pantsuit which was picked out for her by her stylist, Aastha Sharma. Featuring straight-fit pants, a matching blazer and a black top, the actress looked stunning in her monotone look. She completed it with trendy Racine Carrée heels and a black Jimmy Choo clutch. Red lips added that punctuation to her all-black look.

For her Cannes red carpet debut, Huma ditched a gown and went with a sharp suit instead. Styled by Mohit Rai, she was seen working a bespoke Nikhil Thampi suit featuring silver metallic accents, lending her sharp red carpet look that futuristic edge. In the label’s ‘platinum chip overload bespoke suit’, Huma looked stellar. She accessorised with a Piaget neckpiece, lending that added bling to the look. Sleek hair and brown lips, rounded off her look.

Among her many outfit changes at the film festival, we came across this one and we were blown away! Working her chicest pantsuit look yet, the actress was seen donning an ultraviolet suit comprising of a sexy shirtless blazer and flared trousers, picked out by her stylist Shaleena Nathani for her. She accessorised her sexy yet sharp monotone look with statement earrings and rings by Misho. This makes for one of our favourite pantsuit looks of all-time!

After making headlines by taking off her heels in protest on the Cannes red carpet, Kristen went the androgynous way and opted for a white top that was open at the bottom and styled it with what appeared to be latex black pants, a black blazer and black loafers. She went with shimmery black smokey eyes and slicked back hair with an extended front spike in the front. Ditching princess dresses, she chose this look to make a fashion statement with and boy, that’s exactly what she did!

The ‘debutante’ has been killing it at the film festival and she did just that with her sophisticated pantsuit look too. The actress was seen working a pale blue Ermanno Scervino pantsuit. A perfect blend of sophisticated silhouettes and feminine colours, the outfit was a very chic one. Styling it with a shirt, she kept it looking classy, conventional and trendy.
