Reportedly, it was at Shweta Bachchan's wedding that the couple decided to take their relationship to the next stage. After five years of dating, the couple announced their engagement at Amitabh Bachchan's birthday party on October 11, 2002. Although back then it had become all the rage, just a little while after that, the couple called their engagement off. And to this day, nobody knows the reason as to why they split from each other.
