Much like Mumbai, Delhi has its own prestigious fashion week, the Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week.Every year, the fashion week sees the best talents the country has to offer.The Autumn Winter 2019 opened yesterday in collaboration with Liva. If their opening show is any indication, the sustainability and eco-friendly seems to be common theme for all the designer collections. The fashion event will go on for another 4 days and see stalwarts like Pankaj & Nidhi, Huemn and Rahul Mishra (among the lot) showcasing their latest collection. Rina Dhaka kicked off the fashion extravaganza with her bold and striking collection that was in collaboration with 'Liva Eco Green Heart Show.' The biodegradable materials used to make the collection of flowy garments to suits, jackets and saris remained the highlight.

Rahul Mishra completed 10 years as a fashion designer this year and his latest offering was a testament for his decade long experience.His collection of long, flowing dresses was elegant, graceful and extremely wearable.Special mention must be given to the beautiful hand woven embroidery.

Suket Dhir’s latest collection, ‘He for She’, redefined power dressing with formal ensemble pieces with relaxed silhouettes. We loved the miniature golfer prints that were a constant in the entire collection.

Vaishali S’s collection of sarees and long jackets was an ode to the forgotten textiles from Karnataka. Her collection Bisra is a modern interpretation of traditional aesthetics and an attempt to draw the attention of the fashion world to the charismatic charm and glory Khun inherits.
