While there are several reasons why we love the holiday season – great food included – there’s also one more reason as to why we look forward to the last few months of the year. We get to spot several of our favourite divas out and about in the city all decked up. From attending weddings to end-of-the-year parties and whatnot, they are all about looking their glam selves. And if all the looks we’ve got so far until now are any proof, there’s a trend that we’re noticing when it comes to their evening looks. What’s that, you ask? Strapless gowns seem to be a favourite. Here’s what we’re talking about...
02/6Janhvi Kapoor
At Isha Ambani’s pre-wedding ceremony, we spotted Janhvi rocks this Reem Acra gown featuring black lace detailing on the strapless nude canvas. Of course, her trailing train added much drama to the look. We’re loving the bold lip though...
03/6Disha Patani
Disha looked stunning in her green Falguni Shane Peacock number. The strapless gown featured shimmery beaded detailing and a thigh-high slit. The gown was all things flattering and feminine and Disha truly wowed in it.
04/6Ananya Panday
Much like Janhvi, we spotted Ananya work a gorgeous Reem Acra gown too. Ananya looked lovely in her pastel pink gown at Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding reception in Mumbai. The gown featured pearl detailing and a tulle skirt. The young diva looked ethereal in her strapless number.
05/6Alia Bhatt
For a red carpet function recently, Alia looked nothing short of wow-worthy in her Netta BenShabu strapless gown. The white ‘Harper’ number featured a sheer bodice with net detailing and embroidery. The straight-fit skirt clung close to all of Alia’s curves. Soft old-Hollywood-style waves for her hairdo rounded things off.
06/6Priyanka Chopra
For her bridal shower, Priyanka chose a white dress by Marchesa featuring a satin bodice and a feather-embellished straight-fit skirt. The sleek strapless number was as good as any bridal look (not as great as her final Ralph Lauren one though...). Tifanny & Co baubles rounded this look off.
Strapless dresses are the way to go this season, as demoed by our B-Town divas.
