Applying false lashes to the eye is easily the trickiest thing when it comes to makeup – yup, trickier than drawing a winged eyeliner. With a pair of false lashes, glue and it going right over your lash line (without the glue entering your body) the pressure is set on high. No wonder, false lashes are primarily reserved for the pros. But you too can apply false lashes like a PRO! Of course, a few practice strokes and handful hacks go into the application of the false lashes. Ahead are some tips and tricks that will make you apply false lashes like a PRO!

Lashes usually come glued in a semi-circle to ensure that they retain their shape – hence removing the incorrectly will ruin them forever. Begin by holding the false lash at the outer end your hand. Peel it out in go. If you pull off wrongly from the outer end, you may ruin its shape, but if you pull off wrongly from the outer end, you can always cut it out.

Before applying the lashes, place it on your lash line and see if it fits. Often times, you will find that your false lashes are too long for your natural lash line. In that case, you need to trim off the lashes, one by one, from the outer end of the false lash.

Despite the careful removal, sometimes false lashes turn out flat with you remove them from the box. To rectify this, roll the lashes around the finger or a makeup brush and leave it for a minute. Your lashes will grasp a curved shape immediately.

To ensure you haven’t too much or too little glue, dot a thin layer of the glue along the length of the lash. Wait for half a minute to make the glue tacky. Only when the glue becomes tacky, apply it on the lashes.
