One more easy trick to make use of a microwave is to put a handful of nuts in a safe bowl. Toss them up with a little oil and microwave them at 60 seconds increments while stirring them each minute. In just five minutes, you'll have some really nice toasted nuts that you can snack on when the hunger pangs strike.

Don't worry if you forgot to completely close your bag of bread. You can now wrap the loaf in a moist paper towel and warm it in the microwave for 20 seconds or so. The moisture in the towel will soak the break to make it taste fresh all over again and won't let it get all soggy.
