While we all are accustomed to knowing the trade figures and box-office collections of a movie, what we usually forget to consider is the cost of production. Here's a look at some of the most expensive Bollywood films!

Reportedly, an UAE-based businessman, B R Shetty has invested Rs 1000 crore to produce a multi-million 'Mahabharata', which will have both, Indian and western technicians coming onboard. The movie will have two parts and is all set to go on floors in late 2017.

Starring two of the biggest stars in the country, Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar, '2.0' is the sequel to the 2010-ht 'Enthiran'. Reportedly made on a budget of Rs 340-crores, '2.0' is directed by Shankar. While the film was to release during Diwali 2017, the release date has been pushed due to delay in the post-production process.

Sequel to the 2015-hit 'Baahubali', this film is not only richer in terms of visual effects but also a lot more expensive film. Directed by SS Rajamouli and starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Sathyaraj, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah, the film is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 250 crore!
