Kangana Ranaut will be next seen in Hansal Mehta's 'Simran', of which the teaser was released only recently. This will be the first time that Hansal Mehta and Kangana have collaborated together. The actress not only stars in the film, but she also shares the credits for writing the screenplay of the film.
In many of her recent interviews, Kangana claimed that Hansal Mehta approached her with just one line screenplay of the film which was a dark and gritty thriller, and it was she who developed it into a rather comic, light-hearted film. However, this didn't go down well with the Apurva Asrani, the writer who worked on the screenplay and dialogues along with Hansal Mehta.
Asrani took to his social media account and in a long post stated that Kangana's claims are baseless and that his working and efforts are completely discredited. He, in the post, also states that he developed the story after prolonged research and wrote nine drafts of the script. He further in his post informed that Hansal Mehta wanted him to give co-writer credits Kangana as she was turning director.
