Aamir Khan’s next ‘Dangal’ is based on a real-life wrestler, Mahavir Phogat, who due to financial constraints couldn’t fulfil his dream of wrestling on a global platform. The story is nothing less but inspiring as he trains two of his four daughters to compete with world class wrestlers.
Aamir is all out promoting Indian talents through this film and highly talks about the achievements of the country. However, with Indian talents by the likes of Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone testing foreign waters, a leading website questioned Aamir if he would dabble into Hollywood soon.
To this, the actor replied, "Indian talent has the potential to entertain the world. For me, to do any film, the material has to excite me and which part of the world it comes from is not relevant. When I do find something that I like (from outside India), I will be happy to do it. At the moment, I am more excited doing Indian films because I have an emotional connect with my audience which has been built over the last 25-30 years."
The film will have a worldwide release, and will first hit the theatres on December 21 in North America. In India and other countries, 'Dangal' will release in theatres on December 23.
