Anushka Sharma started her career in 2008 with 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi', and since then has come a long way. The actress has portrayed roles that varied from a bubbly Punjabi girl to a wrestler in 'Sultan', and now a ghost in 'Phillauri'. Not only has Anushka managed to carve herself a niche in terms of acting, but the actress is also promoting new talents through her production banner, Clean Slate Films.
The theatrical trailer of her upcoming film 'Phillauri' has been receiving a lot of positive reviews from the audience. Diljit Dosanjh too is a part of the film, along with him the film also stars two new talent, Suraj Sharma and Mehreen Pirzada. Talking about choosing an out-of-box concept for her production, Anushka opened up about 'Phillauri' to IANS. The actress said, "As an actor, you constantly try to do more diverse work because, ultimately, you can only impress people with your roles. The characters that we portray on screen, people fall in love with that. Therefore, we all look for good and different characters and I am happy that I got those opportunities in my career."
She further added, "I think the idea came out because Karnesh (her brother Karnesh Sharma) and I wanted to tell a different story and present a new idea as well. That is why 'NH10' was made, which was well-received by people. Similarly, the 'Phillauri' trailer is getting a good response in all aspects. The vision is to create good content and introduce new talent. It's a very relatable character. I have tried, to be honest playing the role. Finally, it depends on the audience how they react to the film."
'Phillauri' is helmed by director Anshai Lal, and will hit theatres on March 24.
