BJP MP and Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal recently found himself in the middle of a Twitter controversy after a controversial tweet. On Sunday the actor landed himself in controversy after he tweeted that author Arundhati Roy should be tied to an Indian Army jeep instead of stone-pelters.
Though the tweet invited a lot of Twitterati’s ire, the tweet was also RTed and favourited over a thousand times.
Replying to the tweet, General Secretary of All India Congress Committee, Digvijaya Singh tweeted:
This tweet by Paresh Rawal comes in light of the video, which showed a man being tied to the front of an Indian Army vehicle and being paraded in a village in Kashmir.
Prolific author Arundhati Roy has always been very vocal about her criticism about the Indian Army’s behaviour in the Valley and the North-East.
On the work front, Arundhati’s latest novel, ‘The Ministry of Utmost Happiness’ hits the stands next month and Paresh Rawal will next be seen in ‘Guest in London’.
