Filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia is all set to step in front of the camera for Aanand L Rai's next. The 'Paan Singh Tomar' director, who has previously acted in films like 'Gangs of Wasseypur' and 'Manjhi: The Mountain Man' will be seen playing the part of Shah Rukh Khan's in the dwarf film.
Talking about his reason to sign the film, Tigmanshu said that he wanted to be a part of the project to see how it is done. The filmmaker added, "I do very few films as an actor but when a filmmaker friend feels that I can do justice to certain role — and when I need some money — only then I do a film. It’s a technical film in which Shah Rukh’s playing a dwarf. I wanted to see how it is made because when Kamal Haasan did it in 'Appu Raja', he had to fold his legs since VFX wasn’t available then."
Explaining it a nutshell, Tigmanshu added, "So, to know that process, I did this film. It’s a time-consuming film where you have to shoot each shot with three-four different approaches and they complete only one scene in a day so it’s a hard film to make. But they are giving their best effort for that."
The shooting for the film is well underway and the lead actresses, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma are soon expected to begin shooting for their parts. While Tigmanshu is currently shooting for the project, he will soon flag off the third instalment in the 'Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster' series.
