Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath is cautious to decide whether to release Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Padmaavat’ in the state. He stated that he is not a future teller, “I am not a future teller,” on Sunday he made this statement when asked about the release of the film in his state.
He further said that Sanjay Leela Bhansali was no less guilty than the people issuing the threats to the team of the film, it will be against both the sides. He also said that the filmmaker was habitual of playing with the sentiments of the public. The state government has stated that they would not allow the movie to release until certain controversial portions are removed from the film.
The CM had earlier said, “No one has the right to take the law into own hands whether it is Sanjay Leela Bhansali or anyone else. I feel that if those threatening (the actors of the film) are guilty, Bhansali is no less guilty.” The action will be against both sides. It will be against both the sides.
Talking about the threats the CM said, “Everyone should respect the feelings of each other. And I feel that if everyone has good thoughts and intentions, there would be amity in society.”
The film is slated to release on 25th January 2018. It stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles.
