Shraddha Kapoor is working round the clock on films as the year began for her with the release of 'Ok Jaanu', next in line is 'Half Girlfriend' alongside Arjun Kapoor which she has completed shooting for, and after prepping for almost a few months, she kick-started the shoot of Haseena Parkar biopic this Saturday. The film will see Shraddha play the role of Haseena Parkar and her real-life brother Siddhanth Kapoor will play Dawood Ibrahim.
While Siddhanth was shooting for the crime-drama since October, whereas Shraddha's character only kicks in when in a scene Siddhanth is being beaten up by his on-screen father and Shraddha jumps in to save her real and now even reel life brother. The film is helmed by Apoorva Lakhia and traces Haseena's life from the age of 17 to 40.
Talking about the same, a source revealed, "Haseena ages from 17 to 42 years while Siddhanth’s role as Dawood spans from 19 to 45 years. They are currently filming the younger avatars,” informs a source, adding that Nagpada, once home to the don, has been recreated at a Trombay studio where the shoot is currently underway. They have even recreated the house Dawood lived in with his parents and siblings. In November, Shraddha, during a photo shoot with the rest of the cast, had met Haseena’s daughter Umaira, son Alishah, nephew Sameer Antulay and a few other family members. The makers are hoping to wrap up the film by February 28."
