There are oh-so-very-many hair removal options available to us like shaving and hair-removal creams but we can all agree that the most effective of all these methods has to be waxing. It feels great to end up with soft and smooth skin post that painful waxing session, but if you don't take care of your skin after that, you might end up with some major issues like ingrown hair, inflammation, redness and more. So, if you'd like to know how to take care of your skin post-waxing, here are some tips that will help.
-Don't step into water post-waxing your skin. Your skin will be super sensitive and might get inflamed due to contact with hot water or chlorinated water (swimming pool). Wait for a day before getting into water.
-Make sure to religiously apply sunscreen if you're stepping out because your sensitive skin will end up getting super damaged by the sun's rays.
-Don't keep touching your skin constantly since you'll risk transferring bacteria onto your skin. Make sure to apply products with clean hands.
-Make sure to wear loose and comfortable clothing so that there's no friction against your skin. This will help let your skin breathe and heal.
-Opt for a cold compress to help soothe your skin after your waxing session. Don't overdo it though; apply it to your skin only for a few minutes.
