Shah Rukh Khan founded a production company, Dreamz Unlimited, with good friend and actress Juhi Chawla and director Aziz Mirza. However, after Dreamz Unlimited defunct, the star transformed it to Red Chillies Entertainment along with wife Gauri Khan heading its production.

02/9Shah Rukh Khan's first production venture
Shah Rukh Khan's first step into production was when the actor produced 'Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani' that starred him and Juhi Chawla in the lead. The film was produced under the production banner of Dreamz Unlimited which Shah Rukh was the co-founder for.

Shah Rukh Khan in 2006 founded the Red Chillies VFX. Visual effects on films like 'Ra.One' and 'Krissh 3' have been worked upon in the Red Chillies VFX office. The company was started with the vision of making technological advancement in filmmaking.

Red Chillies also acquired the ownership rights for 'Kolkatta Knight Riders' in 2008. The team was franchise representing Kolkata in the Twenty20 cricket tournament Indian Premier League.

Red Chillies Entertainment's first step in organising and executing events was in 2013. They were the promoters for the grand opening of IPL that year. 2013 opening ceremony of Pepsi IPL was held at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkatta, and the evnt proved to be one of the grandest!
