The Duchess of Sussex is someone who isn’t afraid to be who she is and that goes for her style too. Despite Royal style protocol being in place, the new Duchess has broken the code several times. A photo of the newly-engaged couple in a garden at Kensington Palace emerged as soon as the couple announced that they were officially engaged in November 2017. Her look comprised of a white coat by a Toronto-based label line that was layered over a green dress by P.A.R.O.S.H. Matilde heels by Aquazurra rounded her look off. This picture literally went viral in a matter of minutes.

As we expected, Meghan’s Royal wedding look broke the Internet. The Duchess chose a bateau neckline gown by Givenchy. “I wanted her to feel absolutely incredible in the dress and, also, I wanted her to feel like it was absolutely right for the occasion,” said the designer Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy. This picture was one of the most searched-for images too!

Not only did Markle opt to not wear a formal gown, but she decided to keep her legs bare with her black Judith and Charles tuxedo dress (which did not touch her knees, another style 'rule' for royals). The look was completed with a gold clutch and wit her hair neatly taken up into a chignon.

The British Designer of the Year Womenswear award was presented to Clare Waight Keller at Givenchy by none other than Meghan Markle, whose appearance at the awards was a surprise to everyone. For the night, the Duchess donned this classy one-shouldered Givenchy gown that highlighted her growing baby bump. Meghan even broke Royal protocol by wearing black manicure, a fashion shunned by the Queen.
