What's the one thing you absolutely loved about bath time when you were a kid? Why bubble baths of course! Weren't you mesmerised by how pretty the bathtub looked when your mum made a bubble bath for you? Well, who says only kids can enjoy a bubble bath? They make for rather amazing baths and add to it a few essential oils or bath bombs and you'll have a relaxing bath like never before. Now, what's best about a DIY bubble bath is that you can stir up whatever you like and it'll feel absolutely amazing. So, if you want to opt for a bubble bath, here are some DIY recipes that you'll absolutely fall in love with.
02/9Oatmeal bath sachets
You'll need one tablespoon soap from a bar of soap, 1 and 1/2 cups oatmeal and an essential oil of your choice. Mix these well and pour them into small bags and then sew them shut. Voila! Your sachet is ready.

Take 1 cup baby oil, 1/2 cup honey, 1/2 cup hand soap or shampoo (preferably unscented), 1 tablespoon vanilla extract and plastic squeeze bottles. Mix all these ingredients well and pour the mixture in these bottles. Shake well before use.

You'll need 2/3 c liquid glycerin, 1 c clear unscented dish soap, 15+ drops essential oil (your preference), dried lavender (will add colour to your bubbles) or lavender essential oil, 4 Tbsp water and 2 tsp salt. Mix well and your concoction is ready to use.

This DIY bubble bath requires three simple ingredients - body soap, vegetable glycerin, and vanilla extract. Once you've mixed everything together pour the mixture into your bath and enjoy. You can store a batch of this blend in old shampoo bottles so you can enjoy it for your next bubble bath.

The best part about this is that all the ingredients are already present in your kitchen. Take some honey, almond oil, liquid soap, egg white and vanilla extract. Combine all of these together and pour the mixture into a running bath and voila! Your lovely smelling bubble bath is ready.

For this one, you'll need lemon and orange zest, shredded rose petals or geranium essential oil, shea butter, cocoa butter and chamomile tea. Combine all of these ingredients together and set it in a mould for it to turn solid. Once done, you can just store it and then use it whenever you want in your bath.

You'll need water, lavender and eucalyptus essential oil, Castile soap, glycerin or coconut oil and a non-glass container. All you have to do is mix the ingredients well and then pour it into a running bath. You'll end up with a relaxing bubble bath in no time.

Peppermint is one of the best scents we've come across and for anyone else who loves it this bubble bath will be amazing. To make the salts, you'll need 3/4 Cup unscented body wash, 1 tablespoon of carrier oil (coconut, sweet almond or olive), 3 to 4 drops peppermint essential oil and a food colouring of your choice. Just combine the ingredients and you're good to go.
