With the lockdown still enforced on us with full force, we all know it's not going to be possible to step out and go to the salon for those much-wanted facials. So, what do we do instead? Opt for face packs at home, of course! You'll be amazed at how many ingredients you can find in your kitchen that will help give your skin the glow it needs. And one such ingredient is potatoes. Packed with minerals such as phosphorus and potassium and loaded with Vitamins like A, B, B1, B3, B6 and C, potatoes make for the perfect ingredient for face packs. So, here are some DIY potato face packs that will work wonders for all skin types! Take a look.

02/6Potato and tomato pack
If you thought these two ingredients could only be used to make a delicious sabzi, think again! This face pack can work wonders for people with acne-prone skin. You'll need 1 boiled potato, Tomato pulp (of 2 tomatoes) and 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional). Mix all the ingredients well and turn it into a thick, consistent paste. Apply the paste to your face and let it sit for at least 45 minutes. Rinse it off with a mild cleanser afterwards.
03/6Potato, milk and oatmeal pack
This one works rather well for people with oily skin. You'll need 2 boiled potatoes, 1 tbsp. Lemon juice, 2 tbsp. Milk and 1 tbsp. Oatmeal. Mix all these ingredients together to make a coarse paste and then apply this paste to your face and neck. Let it sit for about 30 minutes and then rinse it off.
04/6Potato, turmeric and yoghurt pack
Perfect for combination skin, this recipe will give your face a beautiful glow. Take 1 boiled potato, ½ tbsp turmeric powder, 1 tbsp curd and Lemon juice. In a bowl, add all these ingredients and mix well to form a paste. Apply the paste to your face and let it sit for a good half hour. Once done, rinse it off with cold water.
05/6Potato and cucumber pack
If you're blessed with normal skin and just want to give it a boost, this pack is perfect for you. You'll need Potato juice (2 potatoes), 2 tbsp. cucumber juice, 1 tbsp. lemon juice and a pinch of Turmeric. Now mix all of these ingredients in a bowl to make a thick and consistent paste. Apply this paste to your face and let it sit for about 15 minutes before you rinse it off.
06/6Potato, olive oil and honey pack
All you ladies with dry skin will thank us after trying this hydrating and moisturising face pack. Take 1 big boiled peeled potato, 1 tbsp of olive oil, ½ tbsp. Honey and a few drops of Rosewater. Mix all the ingredients well, apply the mixture to your face and neck, let it sit for a good 30 minutes before rinsing it off.
