01/5All you need to do if you're tired of those pesky shoe bites
It can be really exciting to buy a new pair of footwear, so much so that you just can't wait to wear them and show them off. But while all you expect a new pair of shoes or sandals or heels to do is to amp up your look, what often accompanies are a series of pesky shoe bites. Yes, that awful inflammation, redness and even blisters are a common sign that your shoes aren't breaking in all that easily. But don't worry, you don't have to suffer in silence because there are a number of things you can do to ensure that you don't end up with shoe bites on your pretty and soft feet. Take a look at these much-needed tips.
02/5Put your shoes in the freezer
Yes, as bizarre as this sounds, it actually works really great. Now, imagine that you have a meeting to go to and once you get there your feet just keep getting all itchy and sweaty and before you know it you have shoe bites and now you can only focus on the shoe bites. Well, what you can do to avoid this is to put your footwear in the freezer (in a carrier bag, duh!) the night before. This will help kill off all the bacteria that can cause any fungal or yeast infections and will also prevent shoe bites.
03/5Choose your heels properly
We all know that a gorgeous pair of pumps and stilettos can make any girl go gaga but if you have the choice of opting for a more comfortable set of heels then you should opt for those instead. The best type of heels to opt for would be wedges because they give your feet plenty of support from below, unlike other heels. Plus, they also look really cute so and go really well with most outfits. So, technically, it’s a win-win situation for you.
04/5Keep surgical tape handy
If you want to wear pumps or stilettos anyhow then one thing you should do is to carry some surgical tape with you. So, in case you feel that you're getting a shoe bite somewhere, all you have to do is cut off a bit of the tape and apply it on the areas on your feet where the rubbing is occurring and causing discomfort. Alternatively, it would also help to apply some vaseline to the inside of your heels before you step into them.
05/5Try on your shoes at home first
Say you have to go to a party and you've picked out a kickass outfit which you've teamed with a kickass pair of footwear. Now, once you get to the party you realise that the footwear is turning out to be extremely uncomfortable and now you're stuck in them. So, to avoid a scenario like this, try out your footwear at home first and if they feel uncomfortable, walk in them at home to break them in properly. This way, they'll become comfortable by the time you'd want to wear them outside.
