Here are a few natural ways to treat skin issues

A good face wash and water and can only go so far when it comes to maintaining good skin health. Sometimes you need to dedicate a little extra time to your skincare routine to achieve that glow. It's no secret that your skin is exposed to a lot of harmful pollutants when you step out. And the worst thing about these pollutants is that they can lead to more issues on your skin like acne, breakouts, pigmentation, blemishes and so on. So, if you're looking to effectively tackle these skincare issues, here are some natural remedies that will come to your rescue.

While aspirin is great when it comes to getting rid of a nasty headache it can also work rather well in keeping your skin clear of pimples. If you apply aspirin topically it can help reduce swelling, unclog pores, and even soften your skin.

Did you know chamomile is an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and mild astringent? This is why it can be used topically in forms of creams and oils as it can help reduce inflammation. However, it would be best to do a patch test before using it on your face.

Want to make those scars fade away quickly? Well, get some almonds. Take some rose water and soak 2-3 almonds in it overnight. Peel the skin in the morning and mash up the almonds to form a smooth paste. Once done, mix it with the rose water and apply it to your scars. Leave it on for about 20 minutes before rinsing.

An itch got you annoyed? No worries! Baking soda will help. Baking soda has been used for ages to help deal with skin issues like itching, rashes, poison ivy etc. All you need to do is pour 1-2 cups of baking soda in a tub of lukewarm water and soak in it for about 10-15 minutes. Once done, rinse your skin and pat it dry. Your itch will be gone.

You can use some Epsom salts to get rid of scaly skin. What's also great is that Epsom salts can help relieve aches so it'll do two jobs for you. In a tub, add 2 cups of Epsom salts or Dead Sea salts to warm water. Mix and then soak in the water for about 10-15 minutes. Rinse, pat dry and use a moisturiser.

If those tiny breakouts are making you pull your hair out, here's a remedy that will help. Take some tea tree oil and mix it with a carrier product like coconut oil or almond oil. And apply it to your skin. Let it sit for 15 minutes and then wash it off. Tea tree oil contains antibacterial properties so it's bound to get rid of your acne.

Breakouts breaking up your spirit? Opt for some green tea. And no we don't mean drinking it (although you could do that too). All you need to do is opt for products that contain green tea extracts. Alternatively, you could also soak a few cotton balls in the brew and rub them on your skin. You'll see the difference in no time.

Ingrown hair

Use some salt to get rid of this pesky problem. Take one cup of water and add 1½ teaspoons of salt. Mix well and then dip a cotton ball in the mixture. Apply the mixture to the affected area and leave it on for about 15-20 minutes. Doing this on a daily basis can help get rid of ingrown hair but remember not to overdo things though.

A sugar scrub will come in rather handy if you're looking to lighten stretch marks. You'll need Raw sugar, Almond oil and Lemon juice. Mix all these ingredients well and then apply it to the affected area. Massage gently for 10 minutes using gentle circular motions and then wash it off with lukewarm water.
