Even makeup mogul, Kylie Jenner is a fan – giving us all the validation we need to copy a makeup trend. But here’s the thing with glossy, it can easily turn sticky – which is never a desired look. If you’re trying to create glossy eyes, here’s a step by step guide to perfect the look!

To ensure your glossy eyes don’t look sticky, you need to ensure your eye lids’ natural oil don’t mix with the makeup you would apply over it. The skin’s natural oil can also easily fade away the eyeshadow you apply over. Skip all this drama, by applying a thin, even layer of eyeshadow primer. It’s that simple.

For the glossy eye look, pick a vibrant eyeshadow that you know will last through the day. With a flat eye shadow brush, press on the eye shadow all over your eye lid, up till the crease. If you prefer a shimmery eyeshadow, go for peach-gold or rose gold/champagne hue.

For the gloss, pick up a clear, fragrance-free gloss, since added scents have a potential to cause discomfort to hypersensitive skin. Also, test out the texture before applying it over the lids. You need to pick a gloss that isn’t too creamy or heavy in texture. Remove some gloss on the back of your hand and apply it over eyelids with a flat eye shadow brush.
