Got dark spots and scars on your legs? Here's how you can get rid of them

It's not uncommon for most women to have marks and scars on their legs. It could be due to tanning, pigmentation, underlying hormonal changes, or just plain scars. And while these spots don't really do much damage to one's health, they can turn out to be rather annoying when you want to show off your legs by wearing things like skirts or a pair of shorts. But what's truly annoying is the appearance of pores on your legs. They're clearly visible against your skin tone and end up looking rather weird. So, if like us you too are fed up of all these unnecessary spots on your legs, here are some ways in which you might be able to get rid of them.

02/5Apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar works as a natural bleaching agent so it can help get rid of problems like tanning, hyperpigmentation and even sagging of the skin. However, do NOT ever use it in its concentrated form or it can severely damage your skin. Mix one 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar with 4 tsps of water to dilute it. Then use a small cotton pad and then apply it to all the spots and scars on your legs. Repeat this process daily and you'll see results soon.

03/5Sugar Scrub

Sugar Scrub

Opt for a gentle sugar scrub to help exfoliate all the dirt, grime and dead cells from your skin. Take 2 tbsp of sugar and mix it with 4 tbsp of olive oil. Once the scrub is blended properly, take it and rub it on your legs in gentle circular motions. It'll help get rid of the spots while also keeping your skin smooth and soft.

Much like apple cider vinegar, lemons also work like a natural lightening agent and can actually show results overnight. Take one lemon, cut it into slices and then rub the slices on the affected areas. Leave the juice on for 10 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water. Do apply a soft moisturiser afterwards or your skin will become too dry.

Since we're already trying everything natural, why not give cucumbers a chance as well? They work wonders in getting rid of dark spots, which is why they're also kept on the eyes to help elevate inflammation and puffiness. Take one cucumber, peel it and mash it up. Apply the paste to the affected areas and then wash after a while. You'll notice changes in just a few washes.
