Sudhir Mishra's film 'Daas Dev' seems to be lurking in troubled waters. The film has been deferred for the third time for reasons yet unknown. Now, it looks like there's another hurdle the film has to cross. Reportedly, singer Atif Aslam has been shrugging off the promotions of his song 'Sehmi Hai Dhadkan', from the film, says producer Sanjeev Kumar. "Atif said he will do it, but it hasn't been done," he said to a leading entertainment portal. I'm not sure why he isn't taking part in the activity, but, as a producer, I see that work promised hasn't been executed. He hasn't delivered on his word," he added.
Sanjeev is sure that Atif's reaction is due to politician Babul Supriyo's comment against including Pakistani singers' vocals in Bollywood songs. He had also made a comment against Atif Aslam's song in Salman Khan starrer 'Tiger Zinda Hai'. "Normally, such statements are made by fringe groups. When a minister says it, it impacts more people. But, we needed Atif for this song. He has 20 million followers on social media. Imagine the kind of traction we would have got had he promoted it," Sanjeev concluded. Stay tuned for more updates.
