Contrary to the reports of the Censor Board objecting the steamy kissing scene between Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez in 'A Gentleman', director duo Raj and DK state the truth

A lot has been said about the kissing scene between Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez in their upcoming film. 'A Gentleman', after CBFC's allegedly raised eyebrows over it. Reports earlier stated that former CBFC chairperson Pahlaj Nihalani objected to the duration of the kissing scene, and asked the makers to edit it out. However, during a recent event, when Sidharth was asked about the same, the actor refuted any such reports.
In an exclusive chat, when we asked directors Raj & DK if the scene was edited to meet the CBFC demands and this is what they had to say:
Raj said, "It wasn’t shortened but a couple of shots were modified or slightly rigged. It is a U/A film and there's a passionate kissing sequence between them. We knew somewhere that some shots may be a little too much for a U/A film."
DK added, "We had to tone the kiss down rather than cutting it out. We replaced a few shots with some milder ones."
