Recently there were reports that suggested actor Imran Khan was soon to make his directorial debut. However, there has been no confirmation on the same from the star whose last outing at the Box Office was Nikkhil Advani's 'Katti Batti'. A recent report in Mumbai Mirror confirms that the actor is soon to make his directorial debut.
The tabloid has learnt that Imran along with Ayesha DeVitre has been busy penning down a script for his directorial. Ayesha and Imran have been friends for the past 20 years, and she had also written the script for Imran and Kareena Kapoor starrer 'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu'. To add onto Ayesha's credentials is that she was also the scriptwriter for Fawad Khan, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra starrer 'Kapoor & Sons'.
A source close to the tabloid revealed, "It's a character drama revolving around several people and their lives. It's still being developed. Imran is extremely excited about the project and completely focussed on it." The source further added that Imran is not planning to act in the film and that he will start casting for the film once the script is ready. Imran wants to only focus on directing as of now, and many actresses have shown a keen interest in the film. However, the film is most likely to roll next year.
