With the casting for B R Shetty's magnum opus, 'Mahabharata' in talks, here is a look at our dream cast for one of the greatest Indian epics!
02/15Amitabh Bachchan as Ved Vyas
Ved Vyasa or Krishna Dvaipayana is an important character and compiler of 'Mahabharata'. Considering his significance to the epic, who can be better than Amitabh Bachchan to portray this powerful character?!
03/15Kamal Haasan as Bheeshma
The grand uncle of the Kauravas and the Pandavas, the wisest man, a great warrior who defeated his own teacher. We strongly believe that with his stellar acting abilities, Kamal Haasan is the perfect choice for the part.
04/15Aamir Khan as Krishna
The guiding force to the Pandavas, Krishna recited the Bhagavad Gita to his friend in the war arena. Who better than Mr Perfectionist of Bollywood, Aamir Khan, to play the kingmaker?!
05/15Alok Nath as Dhritrashtra
The blind king of Hastinapur, Dhritrashtra was the man who was torn between his morals and the love for his son. We think 'sanskaari babuji of Bollywood' Alok Nath will be totally apt for the part.
06/15Anupam Kher as Dronacharya
Guru to the Pandavas and the Kauravas, Dronacharya was known for his strict yet loving nature. We strongly believe that Anupam Kher will be an excellent choice for the part!
07/15Tabu as Kunti
The bind that held all the Pandavas together, Kunti remains to be one of the strongest matriarchs in the Indian epic. Tabu, who is known for her unconventional choices will be the perfect choice for the part.
08/15Randeep Hooda as Karna
The eldest Pandava that no one knew about, Karna was a man of his words! Known for his generous nature, Karna was the closest friend of Duryodhana. We believe that Randeep Hooda will be an apt choice for this troubled hero!
09/15R Madhavan as Yudhisthir
The eldest Pandava, Yudhisthir was known for his just and righteous nature. The son of Lord Yama, Yudhisthir loved his brothers and was the ruler of 'Inderprastha'. Who better than Madhavan for the part?!
10/15Rana Daggubati as Bheem
The most powerful Pandava, Bheem is the epitome of strength. While he was the one who killed Dushasana, he is also a gentle giant. Rana Daggubati will be the most appropriate for this one!
