After a long, long wait, the makers of 'Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi' have finally unveiled the trailer of the film. And let us say, it is everything you imagined it to be. Kangana Ranaut plays the role of Rani Laxmibai in the film, and from the trailer, it is rather evident that she has done nothing but justice to her role. From being the Queen to a mother to a warrior, Kangana has portrayed each role with such perfection that it will leave you impressed.
The trailer description reads, "She fought for freedom 160 years ago. She fought with her head held high, She fought till she dropped, Yet, never gave up her pride, her motherland, her beloved, Jhansi! It’s time to salute India’s greatest warrior queen! Experience and relive the proudest chapter in our history. Presenting the epitome of a warrior, a mother and a Queen."
This is also the first time that the audience will get to see Kangana in such a bold and fierce avatar. The trailer starts with Kangana killing a tiger with her bow and arrow. Impressed by her impeccable skills, she is wed to the King of Jhansi, but her world is torn apart after her husband dies. At this time the East India Company wants to get its hands on the land of Jhansi, but Laxmibai is against this. She vows to fight for her land until her last breath.
The film also stars Jishu Sengupta, Suresh Oberoi, Atul Kulkarni and Zeeshan Ayub in pivotal roles. Directed by Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi and Kangana Ranaut, the film is all set to hit the big screen on January 25, next year. Stay tuned for more updates.
