Abu Jaani-Sandeep Khosla showcased Inheritance - An Ode to the Textiles and Embroideries of India collection to aid the Cancer Patients Aids Assosiation. Bollywood’s most suave, and perhaps the designers favourite Bollywood personalities, Sonam K Ahuja, Karan Johar and Shweta Bachchan walked as show stoppers for the collection.
The entire collection showcased the designer duo meticulous mirror work, gold embroidery on Chikankari. Their collection was predominantly in their signature hue of ivory and gold. However, a few vibrant pieces also made their presence felt.
Sonam’s showstopper outfit was an ivory-gold chikankari lehenga with a flare that was absolutely twirl-worthy. With her hair tied in a bun and gajra over, Sonam looked very much the Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla muse.
Karan donned two ensembles. The first was vibrant blue banghgala. His second look was a ivory sherwani.
Shweta Bachchan looked graceful a red and gold bridal lehenga. In fact, father Amitabh Bacchan, took to Twitter to share his admiration for her beautiful look. In a tweet he said, “Daughter's are THE best .. ! elegance grace and dignity.” Shweta’s second look was also a similar ivory lehenga.
As Kalank's latest song Ghar More Pardesiya playing in the background, the trio walked for a cause making it an extravagant fashion show with all their panache.
