A known name in the fashion world, an awardee of the ‘Bharat Yuva Ratna’ and a name to reckon with, Pria Kataria Puri has opened with a bang at the Bangalore Times Fashion Week being held on the 7th and 8th of October. Pria, with her collections over the years has proven that she is highly committed to keeping India’s ancient heritage of fine craftsmanship alive for prosperity, whilst maintaining her stance on ‘Occidental Couture’ which basically means maintaining a balance of oriental and western ideas in her collections.
The designer has showcased her latest collection ‘Sassy Diva’ and trust us when we say it’s everything glam. The outfits are ornamented with sequined work and made with holographic fabric making them stand out in anyone’s wardrobe. The silhouettes include everything from maxi kaftans (after all she is known as the ‘Kaftan Queen’), short dresses and long, jumpsuits and more.
The colour palette included hues from grey to black to bronze and even gold! Winter pieces were adorned with fur capes and caplets making them utilitarian plus ultra voguish. Pria even added her signature elements, tassels and mirror embellishments to several looks thus making the pieces fit for any red-carpet event.
Pria has participated in fashion weeks ranging from Rome Fashion Week to London Fashion Week and we couldn’t be gladder that she made for the opening act at the BGTFW. Her collections are available in boutiques in USA, Europe and the Middle East and trust us when we say that you’ll want more than just one piece from her Sassy Diva collection.
Stay tuned to know all that goes down at the Bangalore Times Fashion Week!
