Lisa Haydon recently turned up at an awards function overseas and chose to wear a shimmery, yellow risqué gown that featured a plunging neckline and a high thigh slit. While we won’t be wearing a glittering gown any time soon, we’re definitely taking notes from Lisa for picking the perfect shade of yellow that complements one’s skin tone.

Sonakshi Sinha too chose an all yellow ensemble – but we liked that she played with different textures and tones of the colour. For her kurta, she chose a breeze chikankari sleeveless kurta and a paisley ochre yellow chiffon kurta over. The hemline of the kurta featured tassles, ensuring the look isn’t quintessentially Indian.
