Okay, by now we're sure you know that due to the coronavirus break, literally everything from gyms to malls to eateries has been shut down as people have been asked to quarantine themselves at home. So, what do you do if you're craving something and want to binge eat but are stuck at home? Make them at home, we say! Here are a few microwave recipes that you can try at home and trust us when we say you won't even miss heading to those eateries after you've given these a try.
02/5Mac n Cheese
All the pasta lovers are going to absolutely love this one. The ingredients you'll need are 100g Dried macaroni, 1 cup water, 1/2 cup shredded cheese, 1/2 cup milk, salt. Bring the pasta to a boil in the microwave and make sure it's edible when you're done. Then add some cheese and milk and mix well. Put it in the microwave for another 30-40 seconds and voila, your mac n cheese is done. Garnish with some chilli flakes and oregano.
03/5Chocolate cake
Got a sweet tooth but can't step out for some cake. Well, let the cake come to you then. You'll need 1/3 cup butter, 1/2 cup flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1 tablespoon cocoa powder, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence, 1/4 baking teaspoon powder, 1 egg, 1/2 cup milk, a pinch of salt. Mix all the ingredients well in a bowl and then grease a mug with butter and add the mixture in it. Put the mug in the microwave and heat it for 5 minutes. Keep checking and pull the mug out once your cake is bouncy and fluffy. Wait for it to cool and then dig in.

All the Gujjus in the house will say 'saras che' after trying this one out. Take 1 cup besan, 1 tsp salt & turmeric, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tbsp oil, 1 cup sour curd, 1 cup water, 1 tsp ginger paste, green chilli paste. Mix all the ingredients well until they form a thick and consistent paste. Pour the mixture into a greased microwave dish and cook it for about 7 minutes. Pull the dish out and add a tadka of rai, green chillies and curry leaves.

For this one, you'll need 1 egg, sugar, 3/4 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, salt to taste, cooked rice (100-200g). Mix all the ingredients well (make sure there are no lumps) and pour into a mug. Microwave for about 5 minutes and then add fruits or raisins as a garnish.
