Eat the right foods

As per Ayurveda, it is very important for you to know what your dosha (energy) is and there are three types - Vata, Pitta and Kapha. All three must be aligned in order for you to feel fine. If you're someone who is often anxious and hyperactive, your dosha is Vata and you need to consume foods like herbal teas, butter, nuts, warm cereal, warm milk, lean meat and fresh fruits. For someone with the Pitta dosha (often angry and impatient), foods like pumpkin seeds, flaxseeds, chickpeas, tofu, seafood, brown rice, sweet and bitter veggies work the best. And for the Kapha dosha (lethargic and sleepy), foods like lightly cooked veggies, barley, corn, skim milk, lean meat, flaxseeds and spices should do the trick.
