One of the easiest and most cost-effective methods of hair removal is shaving. It does the job quickly, painlessly and at less than a fraction of the cost involved in other hair-removal methods. However, there's one catch when it comes to shaving and it's the irritation that occurs afterwards. The problem is that after shaving, your hair tends to grow out all prickly and that can turn into a pain to deal with. So, to avoid this and make sure that you reduce irritation post-shaving, here are some natural remedies you should try.
Apply some honey - Honey contains anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties that prevent infections. Honey also works as a natural moisturiser to soothe your skin. Apply some honey to the shaved area and leave it on for about ten minutes. Rinse it off with warm water later on.
Opt for a cold compress - A cold compress can instantly reduce nerve activity which can work wonders in reducing irritation in your skin. Just apply a cold compress to the area and you'll see how much of a difference it can make.
Apple cider vinegar - Apple cider vinegar contains anti-microbial properties as well as pH restoring properties that can help keep your skin free from irritation. Dilute equal parts of apple cider vinegar with water and gently apply to your skin. Leave it on for a few minutes and then rinse it off with water.
Remember to do patch tests before you try anything on your skin. Stay tuned for more updates.
