You can DIY these Vetiver recipes for healthy skin and hair!

02/7Massage oil blend

Massage oil blend

For this one, you'll need 5 drops lavender essential oil, 4 drops vetiver essential oil, 4 drops clary sage essential oil, 4 drops ylang-ylang essential oil and ½ cup grapeseed oil. Combine all the ingredients and mix well. Apply this as a massage oil to your skin and you'll notice a considerable difference in no time.

Bath time blend

You'll need 2 drops lavender EO (essential oil), 2 drops bergamot EO, 1 drop vetiver EO, 1 drop geranium EO, 1 drop ylang ylang EO, ½ – 1 cup Epsom salt. In a tub filled with water, add all the ingredients, mix well and let them all dissolve. Once done, soak in the tub for at least 20 minutes to let all the goodness of the ingredients get absorbed by your skin.

You'll need one cup distilled water, 20 drops of jasmine essential oil and 10 drops of vetiver oil. Mix all of these ingredients well and then transfer the mixture into a spray bottle. Voila! Your body mist is ready to use.

Hair rinse

You'll need some water, vetiver roots, and 2-3 slices of lemon for this one. Take a medium-sized bowl and fill it with water. Soak the vetiver roots in this water and let it sit for a good 2-3 hours. Add the lemon slices to the mixture and then strain the water for use later.

Body scrub

Take a mixture of sun-dried and powdered vetiver roots and add it to a bowl. Add green gram to the bowl. The ratio should be 2:1 respectively. Add a spoon of curd to the mixture and mix well until it forms a smooth consistent paste. You could also use milk instead of curd. Massage this onto your body whenever required.

You'll need to melt two tablespoons of beeswax in a double boiler. Then add two tablespoons of coconut oil and one tablespoon of almond oil in the bowl. Add 2-3 drops of vetiver and lavender essential oils to this mixture. Transfer the contents in a storage jar and keep in the fridge to set.
