Leah Cambridge, a 29-year-old beautician from Leeds, is said to have died as she recently underwent an increasingly popular cosmetic surgery known as the 'Brazilian butt lift'. Several leading news portals have reported that the beautician, paid around £3,000 for the surgery, which transfers fat from other areas of the body to the buttocks. Apparently, we hear that the mom of three felt highly insecure about the way she looked and hence underwent the procedure. Her partner, Scott Frank says that she suffered three heart attacks on the operating table in a clinic in Izmir, Turkey.
Scott said, "Leah was under anaesthetic and complications happened due to fat getting deposited in her bloodstream and her oxygen levels fell. She was brought back to stable but had three heart attacks and there was nothing they could do." Scott travelled to Turkey following the news of Leah's death to meet with the staff at the hospital. Her body will be returned home in the coming days.
For all of you who haven't heard of the cosmetic procedure, the 'Brazilian butt lift' has become far more common among women seeking to achieve hourglass figures similar to the likes of Kim Kardashian West. It is especially popular in the US and Brazil and has led to the death of several young women thanks to the synthetic polymers commonly used in the procedure.
Our hearts go out to Scott Frank and his family...
