21/26Eat a well-balanced diet
You need to eat a well-balanced diet which includes plenty of fruits and vegetables, as well as foods which are high in complex carbohydrates. You also need to add a good amount of protein and low-fat foods to your diet. Also, make sure that you avoid drinking high amounts of coffee as this could increase your anxiety and even cause palpitations.
22/26Exercise regularly
If there's one really effective way to reduce stress it is to exercise regularly. It gets rid of stress and even improves the quality of your life. You can opt for whatever form of exercise that suits you best be it walking or joining a fitness club. Use that time to work on your mind and body and think of nothing else.
23/26Go outdoors
There's certainly no harm in adding some sunshine and brightness into your dull day. Plus you could interact with people which might help lift up your spirits. And whenever you're having negative thoughts try to counteract each one with a positive thought. Always, look for a silver lining in that cloud.
24/26Learn to be a kid again
Try to do what you enjoyed when you were a kid. You could dance, sing, paint, play music and whatnot. Play with Legos if you want to. Just remember to relax and enjoy what you're doing. We all need to let our inner child out every once in a while and trust us it can really do wonders for you. If you're into colouring you could also opt for children's colouring books.
25/26Set realistic goals
You need to understand that if you set some really unrealistic goals for yourself chances are that you're more prone to failure. If you've just started a diet and you think that you can reduce 10 kgs in one month you need to understand that that isn't physically possible. You may go through some setbacks in life but that doesn't mean you will never achieve what you want.
26/26Pamper yourself
There's no harm in letting things loose every once in a while. Learn to pamper yourself, take yourself out on a movie date, go to a fancy restaurant, book that spa treatment you were longing for. Trust us, it's hard to be stressed when you're having a really good time. Also, practice deep breathing exercises as this will really help calm you down.
