The lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic has ensured that we're all stuck indoors for who knows how long. And because of this, we haven't been able to make our much-wanted trips to the salon. But just because you want to treat your skin right, doesn't mean you should necessarily have to step out of your house to do it. You can give your skin the love and care it needs right at home. So, if you're looking to try some new products on your skin, here are some homemade body scrubs that truly will work wonders for you.
Honey And Sugar Body Scrub - While honey is a humectant that acts as a moisturiser, sugar can help exfoliate your skin. You'll need 2 tbsp. brown sugar, 2 tbsp honey, ½ cup Brown rice flour, 1 tbsp. Turmeric powder, 2 tbsp. Extra virgin coconut oil and Rosewater. Mix the ingredients to form a thick, coarse paste and use whenever you step into the shower.
Strawberries And Coconut Body Scrub - Strawberries and coconuts are both soothing agents that will moisturise your skin while also exfoliating it. You'll need 1 cup raw sugar, 1/4 cup coconut oil, 1/4 cup ground or even whole oats and 1/4 cup strawberries. Mix the ingredients to form a thick, coarse paste and apply it whenever you need.
Green Tea Ginger Coffee Body Scrub: This is an ideal body scrub if you have very dry skin. This blend is rejuvenating and gently works to exfoliate the skin. To make it, you will first need to melt coconut oil and steep green tea. Next, add fresh coffee grounds and ground ginger to the mix. You can store the scrub in an ice cube tray. Once you let it set, take a cube and rub it all over your body before you wash it off with water.
