Whenever you order alcohol in hotels, you would expect them to serve you just what you ordered. But what you wouldn't know is that they know how to recork the wine bottles and even how to start serving cheaper whiskey to drunk guests and still charge them the same. Also, when it comes to unlimited drinks, almost all of them have the alcohol bottles watered down.

In most hotels, sheets are washed daily, but most of the other items on your bed are not. The bed spreads and throw pillows are not washed frequently or changed between stays. Hence, it's always better to request for clean linens whenever you get to your hotel rooms.

You might think that you can simply check-in without letting the hotel staff know your intentions. But that's not true. Apparently, hotels even host people who have an affair and they do know who you are. Although, they don't really care. As long as you are clear with your payments and don't cause them trouble, they won't mind your business.

To be very honest, hotel death's aren't infrequent. Hotel staff always will go beyond their lengths to keep such unfortunate occurrences discreet. But don't fall into the trap but also know that there's nothing spooky about this but just unfortunate events.

There are people who take away the bathrobes, towels, books and kettles from the hotels which is never acceptable. Although, you can surely take the toiletries along with you once you check-out of the hotel room. This is because the hotel can't reuse the half used shampoo bottles.

Don't try and make yourself a cup of tea in the hotel rooms henceforth. Some hotel guests use kettles that are kept in the hotel rooms to wash their dirty underwear. You wouldn't want to drink tea out of it, right? It's gross!

There will be times when you're at a new city and you'd want to know about places to eat around and you end up asking the concierge thinking they'll be unbiased and tell you the best of the places. Turns out, they aren't really unbiased. They'll end up getting a free meal or a percentage of a client's check every time they suggest only a particular place.

This might gross you out but the bed bug infestations are usually on the rise as hotels and motels don't clean the rooms and mattresses that well every single day. You might want to check very minutely and request for a change in room if needed.

There are chances that when you leave your luggage intentionally or unknowingly, the hotel staff will keep it at the bell desk which a small room that isn't visible to you. Your luggage is often manhandled there in the worst ways possible. If your luggage is big enough, they'll probably even sit on it. And if it's a small luggage bag, they're probably playing football with it.

Make sure you clean the hotel room glasses yourself before you even use them for a sip of water. Chances are, these glasses aren't entirely clean and are only kept there with one quick wash.
