This fruit contains all the necessary vitamins and minerals that make for great ingredients for the face as well as for your hair. Vitamin C in papaya fights off free radicals, helps in producing collagen and even unclogs the pores. This fruit contains enzymes that breaks the dead cells and leaves the skin and hair healthy.
Here's how you can put papaya to its maximum use
- Make a face mask with honey: Papaya contains potassium that combats the dry and dull skin which leaves you with a natural glow. When you mix it with honey, it acts as a cleanser and also moisturizes your face removing the blackheads.
For the face mask: You need to take a small papaya and mash it well. Add 2 spoons of honey and mix it to make a good paste. Apply this paste all over your face and neck and leave it on for 15 minutes. Wash it off with cold water and pat your skin dry.
- Make a hair mask with bananas and olive oil: This particular hair mask will deep-condition your hair. Papaya helps in healing dry and damaged hair and bananas hydrate it. Olive oil is used to give your hair and scalp the nourishment that it needs.
For the hair mask: You need to blend half a papaya and 2 bananas in a mixer. Add half a cup of olive oil and 2 spoons of honey. Apply this mask on your hair and let it sit for 45 minutes before you wash your hair with a mild shampoo and conditioner. Let your hair naturally dry.
