The study was published in the Journal of Sports Medicine and Physical Fitness. It says that if one carries out body weight exercises for a minimum of seven minutes in the day, one can easily lose the weight around their belly.
This research study was carried out with 29 adults who did not exercise regularly. They were divided in two groups. One group was asked to complete a fitness program, while the other group didn’t exercise at all. However, both groups maintained their regular diets. The first group participated in a seven-minute training session every day for six weeks, where they performed various bodyweight exercises like jumping jacks, crunches, push-ups, and squats. Between each exercise, the participants were allowed to rest for 10 seconds.
The first group who participated in the training session lost around 2 kilos of fat and shed about an inch of belly fat after six weeks. In the end, it was revealed that just seven minutes of training a day can do wonders for the body.
The research team revealed that these exercises burned the body fat and increased lean body mass. To maintain one’s progress, increase the intensity of your workouts with time. If you do not increase the timing, then you may reach a weight loss plateau. The only thing is that this trick works on those who do not to the gym regularly.
