It's no secret that while city life may be all things fun and joy for your schedule, it can also seriously mess up your skin, what with all the pollutants, dirt and grime making their way into your skin. One of the worst outcomes of having clogged pores is developing blackheads. They look icky, they feel icky and they can make things a lot worse for your skin in terms of oil and sebum production. So, if you're looking to buff them away, here are some kitchen ingredients that will come to your rescue.
Lemon juice: Lemon juice contains citrus acid which works as a natural exfoliant. So, all you need to do is dab some lemon juice on the affected areas and let it sit for about 10-15 minutes before rinsing it off. It'll help remove all the dead skin and blackheads.
Green tea: Apart from helping you shed excess kilos, this tea can also work wonders for your skin since it is packed with vitamins and antioxidants. Soak green tea bags in warm water for an hour and then apply the liquid to the affected areas. Let it sit until it dries and then wash it off.
Cinnamon: Cinnamon has a ton of antibacterial properties that can help get rid of blackheads in no time at all. All you need to do is make a face pack using honey and cinnamon in a 1:2 ratio. Leave the mask on for a good 15 minutes and then wash it off. Once done, apply some moisturiser to the area.
